Monotype experiment, two prints : Mirror sides

The print was done using a monotypic, experimental technique. Shows two mirror sides that are the same but inverted as a reflection of each other. Little people are drawn. One part is finished with a pencil, this detail makes the experiment monotypic. The work shows two sides, negative and positive. The positive is made with an additional template, which is in the form of a leaf from the plant monstera deliciosa. The little people depicted are naked, hiding behind a tree.

I call it experimental printing because it shows only two original copies of the work, positive and negative. It is made using a very simple technique. There are two surfaces. on one is placed oil paint and on the other is drawn with a pencil so the image is transferred to both. It is then supplemented or subtracted. It depends on which side you are working on. The green background is not further removed from the paint, unlike the mirror copy, which is complemented by a pencil and ink. Inspiration is derived from pure experimentation in the field of art and the search for new practices, the artworks of the whole cycle work together. Plant motifs are used and the inspiration comes directly from nature. Little people are inspired by a dream in which there are little people who walk on the floor of the room, walk under the drunkenness, celebrate in the corner of the room. Retelling dreams through drawing and painting is a method of the surrealists. The idea of ​​drawing dreams here is simple and quickly expressed in one movement, the experiments work through visual signs. The topic of modernism, print and expression is combined in the work.
